Mr Kenneth Nwoga and his two children were killed after a flash flood occured in Lokogoma community in the Federal Capital Territory last thursday. Residents of the community took to the streets to stage a peaceful protest over the lack of infrastructure in the area and the death of Mr Kenneth and his two children.
According to reports, heavy rainfall started on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The man was taking his two children to school in his white SUV when the flood submerged the bridge he was driving on, drowning him and his children.
Eye witnesses say the man had been warned not to drive through the bridge due to the overflowing stream but he refused. Their corpse was later found in the middle of a stream and deposited at the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi.
The protesting residents are calling for a better drainage system in the area.
